Centuries of Hisory

If you are a history buff, the Adriatic is the place to be. This region is home to important historic landmarks that are more than 2,000 years old. You will find plenty of archeological sites dating to prehistory, such as the Krapina Neanderthal Site in Croatia, or remains of the Starčevo and Vinča cultures in Serbia. A lot of the architecture in the bigger cities in the region also dates back a few centuries. When strolling in the cities of the Adriatic, you might often feel as if the buildings around you are telling you a story – and they are. Just imagine how many people have walked these same streets over many centuries – if only walls could talk! (or perhaps better not…)
